THE WILD SEA is a marine art exhibition featuring paintings by award-winning artist Brad Betts, ASMA that reflect the power of the sea.
Health Access Sumbawa is a 501(c)(3) founded by Jack Kennedy from Nobleboro, Maine, who contracted malaria following a site visit to Sili village on Cempi Bay in central Sumbawa. Their mission is "Health For Remote Communities": improving access to vital health services such as malaria control for people living in malaria-endemic communities. HAS health & community development programs focus on the needs of families on the remote island of Sumbawa, Indonesia, but are not limited to any particular geographic location.
To support HAS, John Monterisi gathered a group of talented and seasoned musicians to play together as The Oyster Kings for the first time anywhere. Chris Hight, Michael Sevon, Jon Leveen, Sherwood Olin and John are excited to rock with dance music featuring rock, pop, swing, blues and covers. There will be a food truck and beverages for sale and plans for some other treats and surprises at this family-friendly event.
Jack Kennedy, founder of HAS Inc., will spend a few minutes updating us on the great progress made in the last year providing medical assistance, malaria control, the new farm program, environmental initiatives and other good news for the remote communities on the Indonesian island of Sumbawa.
Celebrating the beauty of flowers and gardens set against the inspiring backdrop of classic Maine cottages and the sea.
